Attention Divers and Snorkelers,

Please join Current Problems and Karst Environmental Services, Inc. for a dive
cleanup on the Santa Fe River at the Highway 27 Boat Ramp area on Saturday, May
5. (That's the ramp and bridge just west of High Springs, in Columbia County.)
We will start around 9:00 to 9:30 AM and wrap it up by 1:00 PM. We'd like you
to help out in whatever way you prefer. Diver and snorkelers will be needed to
snorkel and dive for bottom trash. The water is shallow, and it should be
pretty warm by then; "light" scuba kit should do the trick. We plan to cover
the area of the bridge, the ramp, around the Alligator Rise and upstream into
the River Rise State Park area.

We'll also need people in canoes and kayaks to collect what divers bring up and
to provide diver support. Some folks will be needed on land to sort trash and
set the critters free, plus work along the bank. We hope you can help out with
this effort while we have great water conditions to do it. Please let Pete
Butt know if you would like to volunteer. The Santa Fe River can always use
your help.
