The reason why it failed as a product was because is was RIGID. Packing and flying with this thing just didn't work. Also, with all the moving parts, maintenance, especially for use in salt water, was expensive.

We only had and sold ONE.
Not to mention the drag of pushing that sucker through the water.
 
I think we all need to remember, the more technology you add the more likely it will fail. So what do you do when this thing no longer maintains your buoyancy or suddenly inflates so fast you cannot control your ascent or deflates improperly during a descent. I like the idea of simplicity and being a better diver, not having to rely on technoloogy to replace basic skills. Plus who wants more stuff to cart back to the shore or try to haul on a boat in rough seas? I am a practical kind of gal that likes to blow a kiss (Keep It Simple Stupid) LOL!
