Medicines & diving....please help !

Hello...

I am taking "anti-inflammatory & antiswelling oral enzyme preparation" (BRASAN) and 1000mg of Ciprofloxacin (1 500 mg pill every 12 hours).

Is there any problem if I dive ?

Hello Manogr:

Often it's not the drugs that are dangerous - but the condition(s) for which they are being given. I'm not familiar with the tradename 'Brasan', but if it is what you state, it is given for nasal and sinus congestion. The Cipro would be for infection and the combination of nasal/sinus congestion and infection would certainly be adverse to diving (barotrauma).

By the way, one lookup of the word 'Brasan' turned up a very powerful and dangerous weedkiller. Of course, it was in German and my college translation of the language might have been somewhat rusty.
