Saw this article today, and couldn't believe it until I saw the pictures.

But the real question...did it swim over from the Pacific...or is it the
last of the Atlantic Gray Whales?

Btw, Dive Training magazine has a small article on the Vaquita this month.

If they were smart...they would satilite tag it. To see where it would go.

I have to question whether it is in good health or drawn off course by some faulty navigation.

Someone suggested on Facebook that it might have passed across the Arctic from the Pacific into the Atlantic due to decreased sea ice coverage there. Interesting idea.

Now I am wondering if this a Eastern Pacific Gray Whale (California Gray Whale), or a Western Pacific Gray Whale (Korean Gray Whale) that came through the Arctic Passage.
