My LDS is taking a trip to Mermet Springs on Sept 8th & 9th. I've not been there before, any tips or advice?

Thanks in advance.

Well it's one of the best dive locations in the midwest. Viz is awesome right now, going this weekend. Lot's to see, take your time and don't try and see it all in one dive. It can be cold deep so a 7mm, hood, gloves or drysuit is in order. Shallower can get by this time of year in suit. Obviously, there is the plane....enough said. Take some hotdogs to feed the catfish. If you can do a night dive, it's awesome. Ask them to play some Pink Floyd through the speakers.

The spoonbill are typically on the deep side.

Greg and PJ along with the whole staff are great hosts; so, have fun and enjoy.

Oh, and several places in town give diver discounts, so ask. There is a hotel next to the casino in town that gives awesome divers discounts on rooms...sorry, can't remember the name, but it sits back behind the casino. (not the hotel attached to the casino).

Thanks for the advice! My wife & I love to feed the fish, & night dives are one of our favorite type of dives.
