metal detector rental

i was just searching through some of the treasures threads and it seems that people were able to find some interesting things by using metal detectors. has anyone found that they are able to rent metal detectors from local dive shops at all?

I know my LDS has one to rent but its pricy I think he charges 75 for a day I would look around guessing some may have 1 to rent.
