Modify my Dacor AV-1

Has anyone modified a Dacor/Apollo AV-1 to go faster? I am going to re-wind the motor to see what it will do.

Sounds good but that's a little out of my expertise! Have 3 of them and would love to have longer runtime without giving up speed

Won't it just get hot and then draw too much and melt the battery connectors?

Any luck with rewinding the motor on the Dacor/Apollo ?
