I just talked to the folks at Olympus Dive in Morehead City, NC. They are running two days of full-day diving next weekend. Since Monday is a holiday, I thought it might be a great chance to get rehydrated as I'm in danger of drying up. The reported water temperature is 60 degrees (warmer, I might add, than the bottom temp off Va Beach in August...) and they have room available at the dive lodge ($30/night). It looks like each day of diving will be $130.
I'm thinking of driving down to MHC after I get off of work at 3pm on Friday 1/18 and returning on Monday 1/21. Anybody up for a midwinter adventure? I can fit one partner-in-crime and their gear in my (smallish) truck... or I'm happy to buddy-up in MHC.
