Oh, I could see this being legit . . .
Owner and friends, on their 6th beer of the evening. Friend A says, "Wow, that diving stuff you were doing today sure looks like fun." Owner says, "Yeah, too bad you aren't certified. Of course, we could show you how, but you wouldn't be able to go down where we're going."
Friend B says, "What you need on this boat is a divemaster who can take your non-diving guests into the water, while you're down hunting." Friend A says, "Yeah, that's a super idea, and while you're at it, make sure she's hot . . . " Friend B, slurring his speech a little, says, "I know just where to look for the chick . . . " and posts this on ScubaBoard.
Beyond belief? I don't think so. Would I take the post? No.
I wouldn't discount this as false. A large majority of yachts carry and instructor or divemaster as a side job of one of the crew. Crew agents charge usually 1 month salary as a fee if you take someone so are bypassed whenever possible.
I'd show this to any of my friends, or with the single cabin thing going on might even look to see if I can find myself any decent waterproof wig glue, a push up bikini top and shave my chest.
