As a civil engineer and stream restoration specialist, I am increasingly being asked to inspect installations in confined spaces (don't ask, takes too long to explain how I got there). The installations are usually pumps, are they plumb within tolerance?, high enough off the floor?, etc. I am researching purchasing equipment. Of course $$$ are an issue!!! Why do you even ask??

I am a dry suit diver. I often have to crawl through relatively small holes (24" diameter) to access the dive and therefore must don equipment in the hole, often over a confined space entry (body) harness. Therefore ease of donning in the water is an important consideration.

Questions:

What are the advantages of the different styles of BC (vest BCD vs BP/W) when working where space around pipes can be a bit tight?

I need relatively easy access pockets and rings to hold stuff like levels, tape measures and the like.

Does anyone have experience with the Seac Sub Pro-Tech?

Looking forward to hearing from your expertise/experience

As a commercial diver in the Pacfic Northwest I have a couple of Sub-pro...I use the Black Diamond on most of the SCUBA dives. The majority of commercial dives are using a hat and hose. I've taken the Black Diamond anywhere the Sub-pro went. I guess....adapt.. B------
