I have a couple of video clips that I would like to put some tunes to. I want something relaxing and smooth. I do not normally listen to stuff like that so I do not know any artist that do that sort of music. Can someone point me in the right direction here? Thanks

i snag tunes from my digital cable TV 24hour radio stations.... (you know, those funky stations up in the channel 500 range!!!) of course, since the music is copyrighted it is for personal use only.... but there is a GREAT variety up there!

How do you get the music from the TV to your computer ?

i record to my DVD burner (4 hour LP mode) and then run the 'VIDEO' through RiverPast audio converter

http://www.riverpast.com/en/prod/audioconverter/index.php

this little piece of magic 'finds' the audio in anything. vellie schweet trick!

i then have i gigantic .WAV file and use GoldWave

http://www.goldwave.com/

to break it down into the individual 'songs'. kinda tedious, but kinda fun finding the 'gems'

Sonicfire by SmartSound has just come out with Sonicfire 4. It is an excellent program which allows you to customize the music to your need length and sound. I highly recommend it.
If you are a Mac person and have any feel for music at all, their Soundtrack App allows you to create your own original and unique audio to fit your video by the use of thousands of supplied audio clips. Both are excellent

I like SmartSound too. It's much easier to adjust the music to match the length of your video than it is to re-edit your video so the song won't end in mid-scene. I've tried it both ways, and even when I choose to use fixed-length music tracks, I often find myself using a SmartSound clip to fill the last minute or so of a chapter that's longer than the song.
