Spotted in about 15 ft on a shallow reef off Lauderdale by the Sea at night. I'm pretty sure he was sleeping. Approximately 2" long and wouldn't respond to any name, nor do any tricks.

Not quite sure, but some information not in the picture may be helpful. Did you observe how many dorsal fins this little guy had? I am inclined to say some kind of blenny, but this information will help rule out gobies.
 
Hmm... I don't recall. Perhaps he is a frillfin goby. That would explain his inability to do circus tricks, but why wouldn't he respond when I called out "C'mere goby, goby, goby"? Maybe I was embarassing him in front of his friends and he just pretended not to know me. Darn gobies.
