NAVY Oxygen Breathing apparthus NEW - Québec objets à vendre - Kijiji Québec

Found this online, it's in french but you can check out the pics.

Is this an old rebreather? Can they work? Is repairing and making this work expensive. It mainly says it's a rebreather, the guy doesn't know how to use it but he knows you need special training. He also specifies that the "CAN" is missing.

I saw it and thought maybe some people collect this stuff or like this stuff.

It is a self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting on ships.

It's refered to as an OBA, used in fire fighting. It uses a chemical canister that generates oxygen. It wasn't meant for diving.

The seller think it can be used for scuba that's why i found it. Was looking for keyword "scuba" or "plongée"

We learn every day.

Thanks

Those are horrible. We had them on my first ship, and I had to light off mine a few times, whenever someone got the bright idea that we should put a dent in the stack of cannisters we had. Hell, my dad had the side lung on his collapse when he was in the tear gas chamber.
