hi guys would you know what this is? i reckon it's some sort of soft coral but i'm not so sure. it looks like a clump of mushrooms when i took a photo of it.

It's actually a stoney coral, Euphyllia ancora. It's known in the aquarium hobby as hammer coral. The skeleton is low and thick, and the tentacles are several inches long, forming a halo around it.

i think that's it based on the pics of euphyllia ancora. i always thought it was a soft coral . thanks very much for the id mark. :wink:
