Whats up guys,

I am diving the Z-1, its basicly the FX-1 with the better audio ports. We use a Sea and Sea FX-1 housing. It works awsome! The whole unit is only 3 ounces neg. when in the water and it is great to shoot with. The low light quality is great. I have some great footage of grouper I got at 90 feet with no lights. (Everytime we would turn on the lights the fish would bolt).

here is a clip of some Humboldt Squid. We where using the setup I desribe with 2 10watt HID lights.

please forgive the dramatic music, it was part of an ad for a dive expedtion.

This footage is from the setup I described

We have the FX-1 also but got some problems shooting in extreme conditions (baja desert heat). The camera got the shots but we got a strange vinette in the corner if the camera got too hot. We didnt have that problem with the Z-1. I have no idea why.

Im very happy with the Z-1 Sony HDV I have. It gets great footage.
