First, they give aphrodisiacal powers if eaten; then they improve one's sight. Why, sea cucumbers are miracles I tell you.
 
There's not enough there to indicate whether 'cukes' are really viable alternatives. I've seen them dried up in Asian food markets...have yet to try one for vigor, or just plain amusement.
 
I have actually eaten some -- not on my list of favorites due to textural issues, though. I didn't notice anything, but YMMV.

Yes, this news blurb was just enough to make me curious...
 
That's interesting news: I have a Right Cornea Transplant from a cadaveric donor (Thank You My Unknown Savior, May You Rest In Peace. . .) now for nearly 17 years, and I may need a one for my thinning Left Cornea as well. . .
