Newbie: LDS class suggestions in the Venice area

Hi all,

I am mending my evil ways and not hijacking other people's posts to ask my questions.

I do not currently scuba but have wanted to learn for many years. I have decided that this is the summer to begin.

I live in Venice and have found several dive shops that are within 5 miles of me (I have not visited them yet). It has also been suggested for me to check into Hollywood Divers by an instructor with whom I recently worked (non-dive related job).

A couple of people have given me glowing endorsements for Hollywood Divers but I still want to get opinons of shops closer to me.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.
