I use a small blunt-end Wenoka knife upside down on the inflator hose. What I liked about this one is the locking in the plastic sheath is very solid. Also EMT shears. I sharpen the knife every few dives.

I use the NRS pilot knife with the squeeze lock sheath. Blunt tipped, sharp, and attached to my shoulder harness with a paracord lanyard. My 2 cents...
