I think this is Great! I applaud Chip.

This worked out great for man and fish alike (hopefully the fish recovers).

There should be a caveat to new divers to not try this unless you are ready for all possible consequences.

I'd hate to see someone drown because a 40lb nurse shark latched onto them and wouldn't let go, causing panic.

Nurse sharks are generally passive, but I've read where lots of people have aggravated them to the point where they turn on you and won't let go.

God, I sound like a nanny.

For all those who would desire an outstanding dive outing off the Palm Beaches & Jupiter check out chartering Scuba Work's Shark Tales 44' sportfish featuring an airconditioned main salon, flybridge, onboard air compressor, running hot fresh water along with a tasty grilled lunch. The drops are on seldomly dived prestine reefs. The cost is essentially only $20 more per head as compared to the typical 3 tank cattle boat trips.

very cool. saw the clip on cnn during my lunch break.

I would like to sincerely congratulate Chip for this excellent act.

And without sounding disrespectful; I would remind the crowd of an old statement by Andy Warhol:
"Everyone Will Be Famous For 15 Minutes".
Congratulations on not screwing your time up.

I on the other hand will probably (when I am 85 years old living in a Century Village) get my time and shot at fame by driving a car into a pool and somehow kill a gardener.
Or something like that.....

Chug
Applauds this act of bravey, kindness, and all-a-that other stuff.

paulwall.... I agree completely. Nurse Sharks bite humans more than any other shark. The bites can be nasty and painful as well. Glad you made that point. John
