Anybody know if the PC interface for this discontinued model is still available, either new or second hand? Thanks.

If you are referring to the older 1 button Data Plus model, the download kit is hardly worth getting. The old 1 button Oceanics only log the time of passing even 10' marks. Once you have passed 20', no other data is recorded until you cross either 10' or 30'. This makes it almost worthless in terms of reviewing your profile.

Good luck in your seach.

Charlie99,
are you referring to dataplus 2?

The Dataplus 2 has 2 buttons and among the improvements over the 1 button Dataplus are a realtime clock, and the ability to log in much finer detail -- such as 1' or 5 second increments. The 2 buttons of the Dataplus 2 also make the user interface much nicer. The downloads from the Dataplus 2 give a very accurate, detailed picture of your dive profile. Downloads from the older 1 button Dataplus are virtually useless.

Unfortunately, Oceanic has gone backwards in one detail -- the tissue loading bargraph (graphical representation of leading tissue N2 loading as % of M value) has fewer bars on the Dataplus2; and then even fewer bars on the more recent Versa and Veo models. This bugs me a bit, since I mostly pay attention to elapsed time and the N2 bargraph. Other than that, the 2 button DataPlus 2 is superior

thank you for interesting info.
Can i make my own interface to it?

I don't think so Charlie.

I use it all the time, it's not the best but it gives you a good profile and some interesting information about the dive.
