Odd ball exhaust on SP 555

So Simon offered this 555 with the unusual wide exhaust

i gave it a quick service and added the adjustment knob kit and tuned it

put the extensions back on

this thing really moves things back, I don’t think you could get a bubble in view without swimming on your back

i don’t know anything about this but it’s well made, the bar that ties the two together is marked scubapro but when (past 20 years based on the model) and where it was offered is unknown. If conditions allow I’ll dive it Sunday.

I expect they will be noisy but with a 10 mil hood I doubt I’ll feel much.

It was with great hesitation that I removed my D420 and put this in its place but in the name of science…

It's the video exhaust tee or bubble deflector. Made by Scubapro and it fits the S600 2nd stages.

I have one purely to get those freaking bubbles out my face and it works like a charm. It's a little finicky in how it attaches tho.

When did you obtain it and where? It’s pretty wild but I can see how it would not only make bubbles in your face nearly impossible but also move the sound away from the video Mike.

It reminds me so much of the bubble deflectors Kirby-Morgan has on their Superlyte helmets...

I bought in online years ago in my constant journey to tinker and slightly improve stuff about my regs. You can Google "Scubapro Video Exhaust Tee" and usually find a few people selling it. I'm not sure if they are still making it for overseas markets or if it's just a bunch of new old stock.
