oh so new and confused

thanks all. I appreciate both the positive and constructive advice esp. the pool session with mask et al. and I guess the greater debate was resolved in the won't know until you try and that scuba training is to teach people how to dive.Duh. Obvious but felt a little overwhelmed and so had completely overlooked the aforementioned.And do I ever want to try!(more importantly I have thought about why I want to do this...because it will be a personal experience no matter what the outcome and if the truth be known its a really selfish urge now in the nicest form of selfishness.)Thank-you again.It helps hearing from folks that took my concerns seriously.
