oly c-740

I was wondering if the c-740 is good 4 underwater pics. I bought my son 1 for his b-day and was thinking of buying a housing 4 it if its worth it. All I c is 5050. Is there a big diff between them besides pixels?
One other question, has anyone used diverdirect special film processing and if so do u think it is better than regular store developing?

I just bought the PT-018 housing for my 740 a few weeks ago, and have taken it down only once so far. The housing is great, you can use every function on the camera. I don't have a strobe yet, but the pics I took with just the regular flash came out ok...a little photoshop magic and they look really good. I'm taking it to Catalina today, I'll let you know how it works after I get back.
