OMD E-M5 MarkII port

The OMD E-M5 II has the older Pen port design. I'm shooting with the OMD E-M5 and the quick removal port PT-EP08.
Anyone have info why Oly went back to the old design?
I rather like the quick release port as it is easy to change domes and flat ports and a pipe strap is not needed.

In UK the new EP13 is £100 cheaper at list price. Maybe as they now offer a bunch of glass ports and expensive pro lenses they wanted to keep the total system cost a bit lower?
