One day in Miami, no wheels...

My wife and I have one day in Miami beach the first part of April, we will not have a car, we're looking for a day trip, either shore or boat, I imagine a two tank trip... we'll probably bring our regs, suits ,masks and fins, we'll need to rent BCs... we will be at the Fontainbleau, what do you guys recommend? Thanks in advance!!

Your only options will be Deco Divers in south beach. It should be easy to get a cab ride to there. What day of the week are you going to be diving?

You should call the shops to see if they will pick you up at your hotel. If not, it's a pretty short cab ride to the marina where the boat is docked.

Yes Deco and Tarpoon are at the same location. You actually pay for the trip inside of Tarpoon. If you reserve it early you might be able to choose the spots for the day.

Contact South Beach Divers. They pick up at the local hotels in the morning & shuttle down to Key Largo for an afternoon 2 tank trip and take you back.
Can't get easier than that.

I would take mselenaous' advice. Key Largo offers much better diving than Miami. I did not know there was an operator that did shuttles down there.

Give Capt. Ani with Deco Divers a call at 305-798-3919, she'll get you set up if you decide to stay on the beach. I have no problem diving with them.
