ORISKANY- APRIL 16= post taxes fun!

Dates: April 15- 17 2011 (Fri- Sun) Enjoy life after the hurly burly of tax season.
Dives: Sat 16 Apr= private charter, 4 hours on site. 3x rec dives, 2x tec dives. OUTSTANDING!
Location: Based out of AL, 2 hour trip to the Oriskany on a cracking 46'
swept-up dive vessel, a Newton dive special.

• Deploy to Alabama on Friday car pooling, crash at a hotel for the night.
• Dive the epic Oriskany Saturday and afterwards have dinner, cold oat sodas and hotel that evening.
• Return Sunday morning.
• Monday get on SB and tell everyone how great it was and that they should have been there!
• PLUS of course there is the option to depart back home after diving the O, should you wish.

Temps around 60 degrees or so I am led to expect.

Dive details

• All Divers Diving the Oriskany must be Advanced Openwater certified, have dive
• computers, and have 20 logged dives.
  
• USS Oriskany Rec Dives 2 or 3x dives, no deco/130' Max Depth. Cost per Diver: $165 (MAX. The more divers the cheaper it is= that's $50 a dive! On the Oriskany!)
• USS Oriskany Tec dives, 2x dive! Per Diver: BARGAIN at $199 (again Max- the more divers..... you know how that works)
  
• Boat ride out and return is around two hours ea way depending on conditions.
• Boat departs at 8 am on Oriskany Trips

Hotel is likely to be of the order of 100 per person per night.

Quick calculations- these are rough but probably close enough for planning

• Hotel + travel costs for 2 people travelling in 1 car Austin- Gulf shores, sharing a hotel room for 2 nights= 220 approx
• the same for 4 people travelling together in 1 car all 4 sharing 1 room and staying only the one night= 84 approx

So somewhere around there.

Wow! that was quick. There's still places available despite the lots of responses- thank you. We are on.

I shall be asking for deposits in about the first week of Feb to allow for everyone to be paid and all that.

The boat is full enough to go and there are 2 spots remaining- there's more actually but we would rather not crowd the boat. About 40/60 rec/tec.
