Out there, a few hundred meters away from the mooring buoys, nearby walls, reefs and wrecks there is a unknown world waiting to be (re) discovered.

The "Secchetella" or "Secchitiello" is a shoal located in the so called "Mouths of Capri", the channel between Capri Island and the mainland ( goo.gl/maps/QCha5zKrpa82 ). The shoal has a circular shape ranging from 50 meters to over 70 meters on the west side. Huge sponges and lush coralligenous habitats show the presence of strong currents rich of plancton. Despite the shoal is well known, the distance and depth have kept this place somehow protected. Today's tools as trimix, scooters and rebreathers allow us to appreciate the high biodiversity of this site.

We hope this short documentary will help understand the importance of protecting deep underwater heritages like these.
