detroit diver once bubbled...
Okay, for those of us uninformed- What is Dalton's triangle?

PO2 .
|
FO2 | P
|

Cover what you wish to find, and the proper equation is shown:

Best Mix: FO2 = PO2 ÷ P

MOD: P = PO2 ÷ FO2

O2 Dose PO2 = FO2 x P

P is in ATA for all calcs.

it's kinda hard to draw it here...
Draw a diamond. Draw a horizontal line from the left point to the right point of the diamond. Draw a vertical line from the horizontal line to the bottom point of the diamond.

Put PO2 in the top section
FO2 in the bottom left section
P in the bottom right section.

it's just a little picture to help remember the equations.

Thank you.

I could be wrong, but I believe PADI does include Dalton's diamond, but does not call it that. Most nitrox texts I've looked at have that drawing, but show it as a circle instead of a diamond. It's in the YMCA text, but in my experience, most students do not find it very helpful.
