Had an excellent weekend in Panama City. We were worried about the weather but had beautiful skies. We drove down on Friday and our first dive was at dusk on the Black Bart. The seas were rough (about 3 ft) but the dive went well. Our first dive on the Bart and we were the only divers there.

After a surface interval on board we returned to the Bart for a night dive. This was incredible. The swim throughs on the Bart at night were exciting and the sea life were far more plentiful. The usual large schools of fish, barracuda and the gigantic Jew fish. Visibility was about 20ft so the night dive was more appealing than the day dive.

Have to put a good word in for Captain John Luzny and Kelly on the Better Bottom Time. He accommodated our late arrival time and provided a great charter.

We spent Saturday at Vortex. Our two Jr Diver's enjoyed the above surface activities as much as diving the basin. We practiced our skills, and they led several dives through the swim throughs. We stayed late and finished off with another night dive. The night basin was covered in fresh water eels that were attracted to the lights.

We intended to dive the Jetties on Sunday but the tides were not in our favor.

A great time had by all.
