Does anyone know what the Petrel does during a surface interval if you leave the selected gas as something other than air? Does it continue to adjust tissue pressures based on the selected gas or does it revert to off gassing calculations using air?

I ask this because 1) there have been times I've forgotten to switch from O2 to air at the surface, and 2) because I'd like for it to account for any surface interval O2 breathing I do to get more washout before a subsequent dive.

From a review of the manual I'm guessing it just reverts to air once the dive is considered over.

Thanks,
Mike

Once you reach surface and dive over, it calculates you as being on air.
