My wife and I are planning a trip to Cozumel next year. We last went to Coz 10 years ago and I'm sure there are many places worth seeing and Restaurants worth visiting that we missed out on or that are new.
We stayed at The Hotel Cozumel and dove with Troy from Pelagic Ventures. Tory was great and I would dive with him again. So I thought I would throw it out there to the great people of scubaboard for recommendations on where to stay, great places to eat and who to dive with. Also I should mention I have five kids. I’m not destitute but price is an object when you have five others to consider.

Nothing wrong with Troy & Alex as a choice nor Hotel Coz. I'm a regular there & the food has improved a lot in 10 years but still isn't highly regarded by some. If the whole family is going you'll need at least 2 rooms or a suite though.
There are several recent threads on dive ops & I'm sure there will be other recommendations here too but if you liked what Troy offered he's still there offering the same services.

How old are the kids? do any of them dive, or want to learn?

You might want to rent a 3 bedroom house in San Miguel thru AirBNB. very economical. That's what we did and if you need a recommendation let me know..

Sorry everyone I guess I should have clarified. They are old enough to be really expensive. To expensive to even afford to take along anymore. One is pay for my wedding age two are pay for my university and three are u need a car age. This is why we only vacation every five years and have to be very careful how we do that. But I will be checking onto the air b&b though. I'm hoping to find ideas also on great food. Personally I could eat at Tony Romes every night but my wife deserves Tony's plus a few other nice places. Thanks again everyone.
