Point & Shoot? Thoughts On The Canon Powershot D30?

I took these photos with a Canon D20 (which is the same hardware as a D30) in a standard Canon 40m housing:
The Great Barrier Reef & Osprey Reef, July 11th - 17th
I touched them up using lightroom with white balance and some minor colour correction, nothing too extreme.
It was a friend's camera that I borrowed, as I've never used a camera previously.
So after this, I've gone and bought myself a D30
It just arrived today.
