Cayman 27 : East End Cargo Port Rumbles

Source: Cayman 27 : News

The Honorable McKeeva Bush, has announced plans to move the George Town cargo facility out East. But this decision has caused a stir in the community, as News 27’s Tammi Sulliman found out.

McKeeva Bush was Leader of Government Business before, from 2000 to 2005 IIRC. He was proposing moving the cargo port to East End during his previous stint as L.O.G.B. This is not a new proposal by any means.

Major projects such as these tend to be talked about frequently and moved forward rarely. Even when there are apparent concrete steps moving a project forward, it does not mean it is a done deal. Time will tell.

Sometimes even when there are literal concrete steps it does not mean it is a done deal.

Drew,

Are you back working in the dive business at all?

Correct. All manner of things get "announced" here and then never see the light of day. This project may well be more of the same.

Looks like the East End Seaport will be the tourist hospital now. Of course, plans are subject to change.
