Private Pilots - Do you fly to dive locations

I am a private pilot (SEL, MEL, Instrument) and new diver. I'm looking for recommendations from other pilots for good dive locations you have flown to. (East of the Mississippi please - a C182 goes too slow for any farther)

I am looking for locations were I won't have to rent a car and where there are activities for a no-dive day before the return flight.

Let me know about good or bad experiences.
