Problem RE OCI Data Cable Connect Port

Hi,

I have an Oceanic OCI for a couple of years, and love it very much. Recently, when I connected the data cable to the OCI, it could not detect the connection. Usually the OCI would tell you a data cable is connected and start countdown. Probably only one out of 50 times, it will show the cable was connected. I live in Los Angeles area, and don't know where I can get it checked or repaired. Any suggestions are appreciated. Tks

I had a similar problem.
In my case, it was solved by cleaning the contacts on the computer, with wam water and a toothbrush.
The contacts looked clean before I started.
