CRC Diving and The Diveheart Foundation will host a premier scuba fundraising event Saturday July 23, 2005 at the University of Illinois Chicago pool located at 839 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL 60608.
Participants at this unique event with help us Piece Together a better future for our local youth-at-risk. By working to solve 1 of 6 customized metal underwater puzzles, measuring 5' x 10' and containing over 250 four inch pieces. Teams of six divers will simultaneously work to solve a puzzle submerged in 16 of water each hour throughout the scheduled 10-hour event.
The event is targeted to raise funds for the Diveheart Foundation and the SCUBA ETC (Empowerment Through Challenge) programs planned for this summer in Chicago. The donated proceeds will fund a exclusive dive training program and an exotic checkout dive trip for 14 fortunate Chicago Youth-At-Risk to the Turks & Caicos Islands on August 7-12th.
Interested divers can join the event as either individuals or join sponsor teams with a minimum of $150 in pledged sponsorships per person. Note: There will be absolutely no walk-in registrations, and spots are limited so register early for this precedent setting event in Chicago!
