In the middle of a diving trip to Grand Cayman
4 dives in so far.

Seas and wind are fairly rough for Caribbean diving. Easterly winds on the east end tend to make for rough diving. Sea life fairly sparse but have seen turtle and Jack and Barracuda. We are doing no deeper than 65 feet so cant say about deeper
swells could be felt at 50 feet.

Diving with red sail /Tortuga at Morrits. Boat is first class, Dive masters s are experienced and helpful. Captains are especially skillful in rough passages through the Reef. Safety clearly a priority.

Divers supply in Georgetown had a few rare items we needed.

I got back from a week at Compass Point with Ocean Frontiers. Seas were indeed rough, 4-6 ft swells and moderate currents. We had to dive more sites around the south end than east. Weather was perfect, otherwise, and the breeze was cool and nice. Got a few dives down to 120-130 and while viz wasn't as clear as later in the year, it was still great. You'll feel that surge around 30-20 feet depending on your location. These are great times to practice your buoyancy control or jonline deployment on an ascent line.

And I can't pass up a chance to say how fan-damn-tastic Ocean Frontiers is. Top of the line organization with some of the best dive staff you'll ever dive with. Especially Britta, Sam, Sean, and Jason. Great, great people.
