Ulithi Adv. Lodge
Registered
Greetings- Noob here.
I wanted to throw out a possible opportunity for the leasing of a dive shop out in Ulithi, Micronesia. We own the lodge with about an acre of land (10 rooms, beach front, fully furnished), built it 2000 with about 26 years left on the lease. There was originally a dive shop there but it has long since closed. We are not interested in running a shop and are really want to encourage business on the atoll. The lodge is the only place to stay and eat (unless you know a local) on the entire 60 mile ring of 40+ islands-200 or so miles of pristine reef with incredible wall diving opportunity. There is also a 600 ft WWII ship sitting in 80-120 ft that was rediscovered in 2001. Cameron stayed at the lodge for his Challenger Deep dive last year. You can get to Yap for 70k frequent flyer miles from anywhere in the continental U.S. and the lodge is a 100 miles away reached by a 9 seat Queen Air twice a week. It is a pretty spectacular setting and about as wild as it gets.
If anyone is interested check out the atoll on Google Earth and Wikipedia (search for Ulithi). The lodge is on the SW side of the island of Falalop, just outside the atoll. You can see the lodge and the old diveshop in the back.
Cheers!
John
