Versus ran a show a couple of early evenings last week on East Coast vs West Coast Shark Hunters in a competition of who could land the largest Mako or Thresher. While they cut them up to give out to people on the dock, I thought what is the point of all of this, sport?

Testosterone buzz, I suspect.

There's hunters, then there's people who just want to kill something. Shark "competitions" seem to me to fall into the latter category ...

+1 for what Flightlead said. I advocate intelligent responsible hunting and fishing as well. This looks like killing for the sake of killing. It's sad to see such a magnificent animal wiped out.
