I'm a Fish!
Hey gang,
I do not SCUBA dive, but I do have a passion for river snorkeling in the wild rivers of my home state. My friends introduced me to this unique offshoot of diving a couple years ago. We swim in both the whitewater rapids and the deep pools, chasing salmon and playing in the currents and eddys much like a whitewater kayaker would.
I enjoy traditional snorkeling and have traveled to Beliez, Mexico and Hawaii for the purpose, but to be honest they do not compare to the rush of swimming in heavy current and rapids.
Have any of you snorkeled in free flowing rivers? If so I would like to hear about your adventures.
I created a facebook group dedicated to river snorkeling as well as a youtube channel.
Just search for "river snorkeling".
Feel free to check them out, thanks.
Russ
