Thought this would be fun to share- Recently we used a Canon T3i in an underwater housing driven by a custom robotic panoramic system to take what is, as far as we know, the worlds highest resolution underwater image at 2.6 gigapixels. This video (National Geographic Live! - Underwater Robot - YouTube) shows the system working as well as the resultant spherical imagery from a flooded cave system in the Yucatan.
