I am looking for universal replacement retention rings for securing dive knives to their sheath.

I've got an old Wenoka knife and the rubber ring only has a pull or two left before it breaks. I have only seen one replacement ring for a certain brand knife, and did not mount to the sheath the way I wanted it to. I do not have a LDS near me, so I am looking online.

Does anyone know places that sell these things online, like a few different shapes and sizes?

You could always adapt a snorkel keeper to do the job. They are cheap and easy to find.

Get a small piece of bungie like the ones at wal mart that have the ball on the end of the loop. Cut the ball off. Tie one end in a knot and burn it. figure out how long you will need it to go around the sheath. Cut it long enough to tie a knot in the other end. Let the two knots pass each other and zip tie it there. There you have it.

Go to Home Deport and buy a roll of 1/4 shock cord. It will work for your knife with a few zip ties, and I am sure you will find another use down the road.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I picked up some shock cord and began to make a replacement pull ring. Last weekend while out-of-town, I stopped by a dive shop and asked if they had any universal rings for knives or different size snorkel keepers. Turns out Trident makes 2 styles of knife retainers, and had both in stock. RP43 and RP64. RP64 worked perfect for me.
