Joyce @ Spyderco:
Thanks and our appreciation to everyone who participated in Sal’s “what would you like to see in a dive knife” fact-finding query. Your feedback is valuable in helping us design a truly usable dive knife.

We’ve randomly drawn 5 names to receive a free Salt Series knife. They are:
1. wcl
2. Drewpy
3. meigs3
4. Rev. Blade
5. Mandy3206

The five of you now have a decision to make. Please pick one model and indicate if you prefer a PlainEdge or SpyderEdge blade and if you prefer a yellow or black handle. I’ve linked each model below if you wanted to take a look first. The choices are:

C88 Salt I
H-1 folder with a 3” modified spearpoint-shaped blade. Options: PlainEdge or SpyderEdge blade. Yellow or black handle.

Wow, I'm one of the lucky ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First I want to thank Sal and Joyce for selecting me in the random drawing.
As stated before, I'm a fan of Spyderco and allways wanted one in my private collection of blades, but seems dificult to find them around here, now I'll have the oportunity to try and use one of those fine Blades (I saw some models on NY a couple of yrs back and didn't bought one, this I regret since I haven't been able to find them again).

I selected the Tasman Salt in Black with the SpyderEdge, can't wait to receive it.

Thanks again and as soon as it gets here I'll test it and report back.

Thanks to Spyderco Staff
Mandy

Thanks again to everyone who participated. We've not heard yet from meigs3 or Rev. Blade. If any of you communicate with them personally can you forward them my email addy? jlaituri@spyderco.com

wcl, Mandy3206 and Drewpy, give a shout if you've not received your packages by this week.

Many thanks to all of you.

Checked the local UPS contact and the pkg is in town, waitng for the ugly truck to show up, if I miss it, should pick it up tomorrow at the local storage facillity.

Can't hardly wait to get it.

Will post a pic when received!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I already got mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It arrived Monday as scheduled and the pkg. included a free T-Shirt.

The folder is very high quality and the SpyderEdge cuts anything in its path, showing it to some friends, 2 of them cut themselves checking the SpyderEdge.

My Fury Claw (daily carry) is jealous, since it's going to be stashed in the hall of fame so the Tasman can be my new daily carry. The clip was reversed and tonight a small lanyard is going to be added.

The rust resistance probably will be tested this weekend in sea water, will report on that later.

I'll try to get a decent pic to post later.

Thanks again to the Spyderco Staff for sending me such a nice blade and the bonus T-Shirt (the T-Shirt probably will be hijacked by my daughter)
