Sardine numbers remain low on the West Coast of the United States and the fishery is to remain closed. This is the third year in a row that the fishery has been closed. Sardine biomass is estimated to be 106,000 metric tons, below the cut-off levels of 150,000 metric tons for commercial fishing. Check out number 8 to read more.
