3. Scuba Shack is going to kick off its drive & dive tour 2013 “WET ROCKS - STAY DRY”.

Where did “Wet Rocks” Dive Tour come from?

The slogan for this program originated from how we try to explain to the layman, what do you see when cave diving. Wet rocks, is a common response because explaining the beauty and majesty, if you have never been in a cave, can be challenging to describe.

Over the years, a couple of our instructors when diving, whether it be open water, technical or cave diving, and had a great dive, would give each other the hand signal "That Rocked!"

One particular trip Stretch (one of our instructors) started to sketch an image from merging, "wet rocks" and "THAT ROCKED!" and became "Wet Rocks!"

So that is the basis of where the theme of this year's drive & dive tour, "Wet Rocks!" came from and we hope that many of you will continue to join us for the thrill and pleasure of diving.

There are over SEVENTY (70) opportunities to join the Scuba Shack’s pro crew in traveling the North East and experiencing some of the most incredible dive sites around. Dive sites will range from local one tank dives to boat charters to advanced and even some technical dive trips. It isn’t just about being in the water, it is also about being able to hang with like minded people, share from the experience of those that have been to these locations before, and see what it takes to build one’s dive resume. Below is the tentative schedule that the Scuba Shack crew have put together. Details of the various dive sites and logistics will be posted on the website along with Scuba Shack’s FaceBook page.
