I actually did my first dive in 1962 but when I moved to California in 1969 I found out you had to be certified so Ron was the man

What I find most interesting - and for which I've advocated for years - is that the bottom line (which is crossed out) says, "This card expires 3 years from date of issue." Good idea IMHO. (In other words, renew it instead of it being good for life.)

I can't disagree on that, Ken. I think a refresher course should be required unless one can prove a certain amount of dives within the period.
