Good Morning all,

I am looking for a Scubapro 109 spring (the old style 1.5” spring). The shorter “upgrade” springs used with the balance chambers and new poppets are readily available but I can’t seem to find one of the old style.

Would you guys have any sources or a couple you might want to sell?

Best Regards,
Robby

He doesn’t have any. He’s a great dude. I order from him often.

I've got one I'll send you. PM me with your shipping address.

NP. Join us in the DIY forum with an update (and pictures if possible) of your progress.

I sure will! My Scubapro connection who used to get rebuild kits for me died so I used your conversions on that page to create a viton “master kit” to keep my old fleet of MK10s going! I am an academic, but my dad was a machinist so I grew up learning that trade and still build a lot. As soon as I get a new metal lathe, I’m going to machine some double sided MK10 HP seats that can be flipped in the field.

Enjoy your diving!

:) I had the same idea but don't have a lathe and have no experience using one. However, I did purchase a bit of 1/2 inch Teflon round stock. If I remember and can find it, I'll send a piece of that too.

Dibs on one of the prototypes.

You get the first ones. All you like. The most enjoyable part of fabrication is giving your friends stuff. I made some cave diving reels for myself and friends about 20 years ago and last week saw one for sale on eBay. It absolutely made my day knowing they are still out there! If you have any gear ideas or needs, let me know!
