This is the newer G500 correct?

And do you think this setup would be alright in colder temps around 40F?

Yes, the G500 is much newer than the first stage. I personally have dove Mk10s in cold water, but I don't think they were ever rated for cold water use. It probably wouldn't be the best choice from the regs I just listed.
I have a set of Sherwoods for sale that would be a better cold water choice.
