MK17 is like cockroach, it can survive not only bad decisions of corporate management but also nuclear war.Scubapro's MK17 EVO First Stage is still in SP's NEW 22-23 Product Catalog for the EMEA region that just came out in combination with the S600 and C370 second stages in addition to first stage only. It hasn't disappeared from the SP product line yet and doesn't seem to be disappearing any time soon.

If I have to choose only one of them for rest of my life, I would pick MK17, I own multiple of them in different generations and they are stellar. MK19 is good if you definitely need turret and a fifth port, for example sidemount diving. You can still make 17 work for sidemount but it will be less than optimal.
