I used to have a problem with seasickness - I think some people just get over it with repeat boat trips.

So in the beginning, I tried the over-the-counter remedies like Bonine, Dramamine etc. They all knocked me out. Some of the popular motion sickness medication would knock me out for hours and they were no options for me.

I consulted a dive specialist physician who was himself a keen diver and a medical contributor to many diving publications and he gave me a prescription medication (the name escapes me at the moment). Voila! No drowsiness, no side effects AND NO SEASICKNESS! Liveaboards were a different experience from then on.

I would recommend you see a doctor who knows about diving. I am often shocked at how little the average non-diving medical professional knows about diving health and medicine. Ask your local hyperbaric medicine specialists or consult DAN about finding a doctor near you.

Good luck

Thanks guys,
I took Bonine the day before and 1 hr before the boat set out and what a difference! I had a terrific day of diving without being sick at all! It didn't make me drowsy, the stuff worked great!
